When I share entities to Google Assistant for voice control, with alias in the entity, Google does not respond to the alias, only to either the full entity name or if I rename the device in Google Home. Is this a known issue, or I’m doing it wrong?
No-one else using aliases into Google Assistant?
I use alias’s and they are working fine for me.

I have this as an example:
Google assistant will only respond to “Garage 1 secure open/close”, and thinks there is no such device as Garage 1… 
I’ve ended up renaming in Google Home. Seems odd.
I’ll try giving something a random alias and testing it out when I get home from work. It should be an easy test.

I gave this a test and it didn’t work.
What I did was add an alias via the UI to one of my light entities and tried to use that new alias to ask Google Home to turn the light on… “sorry, I didn’t understand…”

Strange, my kitchen downlights have been working fine from goolge home for about a year. Now when I ask google home to “turn on kitchen downlights” it responds “sorry, I didn’t understand”.
Oddly, other lights in the louge turn on ok via voice.
I have this issue currently what is going on? It just doesn’t detect some devices.
