Google Assistant Always Turns On Lights To 100% Brightness

Hi There,

I recently changed my google assistant to communicate with my lights through home assistant rather than through wink. (I was getting tired of having to disconnect wink and reconnect it every time I added a component)
With google assistant now when I say turn on the [room] light it turns it on to full brightness. Previously when connected to wink it would go to the previous brightness setting.
I believe that toggling lights in the HA UI also turns them fully on.
Is there any way to configure the system to turn the light to its previous setting.

All the switches are connected to wink and are Leviton Z-wave dimmers.

Thanks

I do not have that issue. I just configured GoogleAssistant yesterday to work with my lifx and yeelight bulbs and it just uses the previous setting like always.

While waiting for a proper solution to your problem, yo can use scenes as workaround. Instead of “toggle lights” just say “activate scene” instead.

Thanks for the response, this appears to be specific to lights I have connected through Wink. (Likely a problem with wink component)

@jpreiditsch were you able to figure it out? Same thing happening to me with google assistant device. Alexa works fine
