Google assistant showing incorrect status for entities after turning on/off

kinda hard to explain but say

i turn on kitchen lights that are connected to GH through HA on the google home ios APP (via nabu casa)

the lights do turn on as expected but in the google home app it will say lights “on” and then quickly revert back to “off” even though the lights stay turned on. the state will not update unless i manually refresh the app. The correct state is shown in HA however.

anyone experience this and find a solution?

edit: this does not happen for other connections i have for the google home app so i am fairly confident this is an issue with the communication between HA and GH

I’m having the exact same issue, this was also an issue months ago, not sure what the problem is.

Edit: I found turning off state reporting in the Google Assistant settings in HA (Settings > Voice Assistant) largely solves this issue. It claims it helps with voice commands but I haven’t been able to test if they’re actually not good post-change.
