The.only thing that Google AI TTS doesn’t work is voice assistant’s answers.
Testing the voice works, announcements works, all settings checked and double checked. This was working beautifully before 2025.10 but now magically stopped. (Classic Wtf? Situation)
Makes me regret updating one more time

Is there a solution meanwhile?

Well I thought I found something, but maybe not as now I tested it and cant recreate it by disabling it… heres my original post

I dunno if this was a total fluke or what happened, but I was having similar issues with everything working except the voice would not actually play the response. I went into ESPHome, opened the voice assistant, clicked Media player in the controls section, then hit the gear icon for settings, click the voice assistant arrow and for me it wasnt exposed. So I enabled that and…suddenly it started speaking again. Still very slow to respond, but its working.

I don’t understand what you’re talking about. What does ESPhome have to do with this?

Naturally, all Poe devices have access to the voice assistant and they work, but not with Google Gemini.
