Google home always failing the first time

I have a home assistant installed in a Docker on my nas and Google home integrations set up according to the manual. it has been working for over three years now.

However when I ask Google home to do something it always fails the first time.

It always answers something like home assistant isn’t available.

And then you say exactly the same thing again the second time and it works 60% of the time.

Lights generally work and then things like curtains are less reliable. Air conditioner mostly does not work.

Why is it so unreliable and is there any way to make it less annoying

Hi,

Yes, I have the same problem.

When I enter to Google Home App, Home Assistant devices are disconnected.
The connection comes and goes constantly, that is the problem.

I have the exact same issue; first time it says it can’t connect, I wait five seconds and when I try again it works.

Is there a time-out or retry or something we can add, so that it tries a bit harder?

I have also found that when turning the lights on and off it tends to work 99% of the time.

When turning on other switches and controlling the curtain it fails 50% of the time

When trying to control air touch it fails at 95% of the time
