It can get all sorts of information from the Google home device itself like volume, alarms etc. Might be useful to add the Google home device itself to hass

Has this been superceded by something else? Because I can’t understand why this hasn’t been more popular. I came here to write up a feature request on integrating Google Home alarms and timers into at least events on the HA bus, but making GH devices full-fledged entities in their own right would be tremendous.
