Now that Google released the API for Google Assistant, is better integration into HASS being worked on that doesn’t rely on the emulated Hue component? Just curious what to expect down the road. Thanks.

Python developer - who hasn’t written HASS code yet
I tried setting up a smart home hook using flask and flask-oauthlib but didn’t manage to get Google Assistant working with it. I used the sample that came with flask-oauthlib as the basis for the OAuth2 flow but that didn’t work with Google.
I know that there’s a google assistant add on for hass.io, but I still have to try it (google assistant isn’t avaible on my country).
