I need some smart speakers to use for text to speech. I saw some Google Home Speakers (Gen. 1) on sale and need to know if I can get them to work using Home Assistant. I plan on using them to announce things like the alarm is being set or the door has been open for over 1 minute. I have already used google tts to create the mp3s so I know how to do that part. If these will work with HA, will they just show up as a device like my TCL TV did?

I’m not sure which version I have but they where all bought used so most likely the first version
EDIT: I have now realized the red-ish backside is the first generation. So yes it works.
They got found automatically when I installed HA, and you can TTS to them and interact with them.
They will work. The integration is ‘Google Cast’.
