The Google Home sounds way better than the tts component. Is there any way to make the Home speak naturally? Somehow ifttt can respond to queries, so this must be possible…
Google home is using google’s new neural net algorithm for TTS, which I believe is for internal use only right now. They haven’t said if/when the public Google TTS platform will be updated to use the new algorithm.
Are there any hacks like manually downloading the files (wireshark etc) by saying ‘repeat after me: this is what I want to save’? This would only work for non-dynamic answers though…
I’m not aware, but I also haven’t tinkered with it much.
I’m using the Amazon TTS as it sounds much better.
