Google home unstable connection

I have done this Manual setup Google Assistant - Home Assistant all the way until Enable local fulfillment

it was first done about 3 years ago. I have tested the local access and when the Internet was down it was still able to control my lights.

But really lately it’s become quite fragile , generally when I ask Google to do something it will say home assistant is not available the first one or two times.

And then I had a power outage for an hour and after getting everything back up and running via backups which took until the next afternoon, then the Google connection wasn’t working anymore

you could see in the Google Home app the devices were flashing between available and offline

I tried re linking the connection and it went to the home assistant login page and after that it said failed to connect. Coincidentally home system stopped working and then when I went into my synology virtual machine and pressed connect I saw that there was some code dump

it had been working until that time so I cannot say for sure but it seems like that connection killed

a95ac2abe5f68f8929f38fe3b0c735c04038395b_2_690x68

and then I slept on it and then in the morning the connection seems to be working again

machines are set up so that I have synology on 192.168.1.20 and HA VM on 192.168.1.21 and reverse proxy and pihole with cnames.
The Google homes are on the main wifi network with full access to these. What can I do to check if there are any connectivity issues?

Hi aussie1497,

Hey Google, sync Devices sometimes helps.
I have one Home Puck that was added in my wife’s name, and that one I have problems with. I don’t think it took the voice adjustments well because it doesn’t always know it’s me. Maybe the mic is flaky. I’m about to re-flash that one in my name and see. one of these days when it ticks me off for the last time…
