I am currently on version 2023.8.2 and I am trying to get the Google Nest Intergration to work. I deleted the previous project in google I was previously using to try to get the API access to work. Now however, that I have done that. I cannot get Home Assistant to ask for the screen to ask for the Client ID and secret again. Is there something I can delete as a file or something in a file to get this to pop-up again.
When you delete the integration it asks you if you want to delete the oauth application credentials or not. If you choose to keep them and want to delete them later you can access them from the UI as shown on the screenshots here Application Credentials - Home Assistant
It appears to me that isn’t not possible when the integration hasn’t completed because of a bad clientid/secret. I’m stuck right now because I started with credentials from one account, then tried to correct my mistake mid-stream (including deleting the original credentials.)
There a way to clean that config up manually so I can restart setup from the begining?
The Google Nest - Home Assistant has specific instructions for this under the “Can’t link to” error where it talks about the ways you can resolve mismatched application credentials for a variety of reasons. The specific reason there talks about application credentials with a screenshot, or see Application Credentials - Home Assistant
