Google-Nest Offical Device Access Console Finally Released!

We really don’t need the AppDaemon app nest.py now that the Nest Integration is working. I’m no longer using it and am using the integration.

Not all thermostats added. i have 4 thermostats linked to account. Google asks if i want to add all 4 of them, but only 3 appears in HA. (the fourth thermostat is normaly usable in nest app, and was seen in HA using badnest but dissapeared with no reason, since i have issues with it)
I had the same using badnest integration.
What should i do in this case?

Btw, i have these three thermostats as devices, but i dont have them as entities like climate.bedroom, am i missing something?
i did remove badnest and all entities it had

my HA version is 0.117.6 i dont have any new available in supervisor

its strange, beacuse i get 3 devices and 6 entities (two sensors on each) no climate.xxx entites
and also no hub max
wtf

They are referencing .118 beta. It’s not out for general release yet. Good news is that it sounds like .118 will have a working nest integration!

I usually see updates reflected after a short moment like a handful of seconds. I typically test by changing heat or cool set points on the thermostat, and they are received.over the subscriber fairly quickly for me.

I verified that updates are fairly quick. What is not quick is how often the thermostat (just sitting there) updates. Might be a testament to the insulation in my house and temps don’t move that much, especially this time of year. The yellow line is me grabbing the current temp every 2 minutes from the API and the green line is updates sent via subscription when a change happens. The sub updates correspond directly to a change in temp reported by the thermostat.

Could somebody with a Nest with cooling mode provide the color codes for the dial when in that mode?
I’ve got the Idle and Heat colors but need the Cooling colors…

Nest Cooling Dial:
Nest Cooling Background:
Nest Cooling Gradients:
Nest Cooling Gradient Dividers: (same as dial)
Nest Cooling Chevrons Highlighted B/G:
Nest Cooling Chevrons Normal B/G:

Nest Heating Dial: #EF8C00
Nest Heating Background: #EB6D00
Nest Heating Gradients: #EC7800
Nest Heating Gradient Dividers: #EF8C00 (same as dial)
Nest Heating Chevrons Highlighted B/G: RGB F2A14C
Nest Heating Chevron Normal B/G: RGB EE8519

Nest Idle Dial: #3B444C
Nest Idle Background: #373F48
Nest Idle Gradients: #555D65

Nest Chevrons Highlighted B/G: RGB 767C82
Nest Idle Normal B/G: RGB 4F575E

Cooling?? …

Mine is the same…slow to cool down, quick to warm up. 3BR town home & not an end unit so that helps reduce cold exterior walls. I have 3 PIR sensors with humidity and temp and two of them and the Nest are always pretty close…the third is in the garage and well, it’s always cooler in an unheated garage!

Hi @allenporter, amazing work on this integration, really appreciate all your hard work! Are there any plans to support hot water boost? Cheers

Anybody have any sneak peaks of the video component?
I don’t want to try the Beta because I’m still on Nest account so I can keep person alerts in HA.

We’re still cooling here in TX. Where would I find the colors?

Thanks for the reply! I used a Firefox add-in called Sharp Color Picker. It has an eye dropper you can use to hover over a web page and it can grab the hex color codes…

There’s also a free app in the MS Store called Free Color Picker that you can paste an captured image into which shows the RGB codes…

I’m stuck at point 31. When I search for nest and select it I get the notification aborted. This is done while logged with the external address (xxxx.ui.nabu.casu).
Using the local IP I get to the page and I can tick all the options but then error 400 appears (invalid request) but I guess this is normal.
Any Ideas?

Yes, that’s normal. It won’t work from a local IP.

I can’t help with that other than to suggest you try adding any other integration as a test to see if it’s an issue with adding integrations in general or just Nest.
At what point does it abort?

Im getting the same error
Not exactly sure where Im going wrong yet - Ive verified my domain by uploading a file to my webserver which is running on the same box but still failing - also added external url/auth/external/callback to the HA external url in the config too - any pointers?

Never figured it out :frowning:

@fva0396 and @kiteboy someone else had similar issues about a week ago. It was due to them using a work computer and going through a proxy server which their work was blocking. Are either of you using a proxy server? Or firewall that might need configuring/drop just to get this working?

This is what I got: #0055FF for the blue.

Thanks. Is that for the dial or the background?

Nest Cooling Dial:
Nest Cooling Background:
Nest Cooling Gradients:
Nest Cooling Gradient Dividers: (same as dial)
Nest Cooling Chevrons Highlighted B/G:
Nest Cooling Chevrons Normal B/G:

I think these are correct. I’m not completely familiar with the terminology (gradient, dividers, etc).

Thank you! I’ll pop them into my heating dial and see how they look…
