Google Translate Issue

Trying to get Google translate tts to function on 118.4 and I am Receiving this in the log:

2020-12-01 05:35:58 WARNING (MainThread) [homeassistant.components.google_translate.tts] Unable to find token seed! Did https://translate.google.com change?
2020-12-01 05:35:58 ERROR (MainThread) [homeassistant.components.tts] Error on init TTS: No TTS from google_translate for 'hello there world'

There is no file created in the /config/tts directory.

I am using a let’s encrypt cert, I have my external url set to HTTPS and internal to HTTP within Configuration > General.

The configuration.yaml has:

tts:
   - platform: google_translate

Any insight would be appreciated.
Of note this worked once and never again.

There’s an issue currently with google translate, @Mariusthvdb already opened an issue on Github, but can’t search it at the moment.

the same here! The error is back since 1 day.

Error on init TTS: No TTS from google_translate for ‘Guten Morgen, wir haben Dienstag, es ist 6 Grad und es ist Zeit zum aufstehen.’

16:26:34 – Text-to-Speech (TTS) (ERROR)

Unable to find token seed! Did https://translate.google.com change?

16:26:34 – google_translate (WARNING)

Thank you @Burningstone. I will keep an eye out for the resolution.
After playing with base url, tts settings, service calls to tts since 3:30am with no luck.

This has been a problem since 4 wks ago. It works intermittently but has got worse lately. Previous logged issue

I’ve since switched to Google Cloud for TTS. It will ask you for billing info during setup but its free for the first 1million chars/mth, well within my usage.

Do you know if the Google Cloud TTS service downloads and caches audio files? If so this is a great option; most automations are repeating the same thing frequently with the odd one having a variable in the speech.

I dont think it caches. But the translation/response is pretty quick.
