Got ZBT-2 for Zigbee to replace ZBT-1, now what to do with ZBT-1?

After migrating my Zigbee network from ZBT-1 to ZBT-2, I thought I would repurpose my ZBT-1 for Thread…only to find that my Apple TVs already have an existing preferred network.

After reviewing countless threads in this forum and reddit, it seems like I should just use Apple’s preferred network…so is there really nothing else the ZBT-1 can do here? Can anyone clear this up?

SOLVED - apparently the system needs to reboot in order to merge in the device into the preferred network. But this also may have benefited from the additional steps taken as part of the troubleshooting from this reddit thread.

Flash it with Zigbee router firmware and use it to strengthen your zigbee mesh?

I thought this was a great idea, but it seems the flasher doesn’t work with the ZBT-1. :smiling_face_with_tear:

Do you know another way? Thanks!
