Govee Smart AQM monitor (H5106) via BLE

Hi all,

I purchased a Govee Smart AQM monitor the other day (model H5106). While the BLE integration picked it up immediately, I’ve been consistently receiving odd data with most of the sensors.

For example, battery jumps all over the place, and humidity and temperature is frequently unavailable. Not to mention the temperature shows 200.8°F when its not in unavailable status. Signal strength is just about the only entity that is constant, around -62 dBm.

Distance between the AQM device and my Bluetooth adapter is about 6 feet, so coverage is not the issue. Anyone else having issues with data reliability with this device?

Hello,

Here is the kind of temperature chart I’m getting with Theengs:

I’m suspicious that it stays at 21.9C flatlining. Are you seeing the same behavior?

Mine is very erratic. All readings of course are fine within the Govee app itself though.

I found this submission on Github. Not the same model, but it does mention the H5106. It looks like a version detection issue, and says a fix was added for the 2024.2.0 release. I checked my device info and it’s reporting it as “H5101/H5102/H5177”. So I’m hoping it’s fixed in the upcoming release.

Had the same trouble with mine using the govee ble integration but the theengs plug I have picked it right up and it has been rock solid ever since.

Overall very interested in the expected improvements to govee devices in the next HA release though.

Temperature around 200F ? Seems a bit warm

Confirming here that the 2024.2 release fixed the device and entities. I just installed it and everything’s now reporting properly for the H5106.
