GPSLogger and nmap

Hi guys,

Need some help again. I’ve set up nmap tracker and gpslogger and all is working perfectly. Only issue I have is that from the nmap tracker it has found and entered my details into the known devices folder, which I have edited to add a picture and all is good

Concerning the GPSlogger it is sending the info but showing up on he main page as a different icon but without a picture in it.

Is there a way to get the two icons to be as one? If not its no big deal as I will set the nmap to hide if I’m away.

My main point is that I would like to put a picture in the GPSlogger icon by can’t seem to find where the information is being kept to add the picture file. I added a picture in the customisation option in the configuration, but nothing changed.

It shows in the customisation folder as:

Picture: /local/Mark.jpg but the picture doesn’t come up after restart.

Can someone point me in the right direction, please.

Just to confirm before someone asks, the both icons are from the same phone with the same mac address.

Has the state of the GPSlogger entity changed since you added the customization?

Yes, the GPSlogger is still updating my position And it is changing on the map.

Hi guys,
I have solved the issue. Just invade someone else has a similar issue.

The GPSlogger had made a new device under the known_devices folder with a device id of “mark” there were no other settings set. Mac address was blank… The device created by the nmap was had the device id as my phone brand ( cph_***) and had all the details of the phone e.g mac address, name, picture etc.

I deleted the known devices that was created by the GPSlogger. Then went to the GPSlogger app. Under “logging details” I selected “log to custom URL” and changed “device=mark” to the same device I’d that nmap used “device=phone_cph1607”. Restarted both GPSlogger and hassio and now I have 1 icon in my overview which is updating from the nmap and GPSlogger instead of 2 icons. The picture is is also showing in the icon in overview and on the map tab.

Hope this is useful to someone.
