It would be great if we can port this to control Gramofon players. They are awesome little boxes for multi room audio. Similar to sonos but cheap, and their apps suck.
They could be used for audio notification or confirmation of commands being run.
Some features that could be controlled by home assistant:
Group into zones, turn zones on and off, volumes of each, or each zone…
Display what is playing in what zone, or each Gramofon,
Basic play and pause of each zone or Gramofon,
Not expecting to be able to look up music and create playlists and things but that would be cool.
I reckon using them for multi room audio acknowledgements would be cool, like ‘lounge lights turned off’. Like Amazon Alexa does, but in any room in the house!
Nice info thank you! Yeah the Qualcomm apps are horrible, and I’m afraid they will stop developing them and I won’t ever have anything to control it with.
I downloaded alljoyn explorer app on Windows 10 and my speaker popped right up in the explorer. Can’t do anything with it though, it’s more of a developers thing to get info from the units to make their own software. Looks promising though as that’s the first other thing I have got to talk to it apart from the ones in the box.
All a bit beyond me, hopefully one of you clever fellas on here will see some use in it
Hi, Is the gramofon supported in home assistant by now?
Thinking about buying it.
If you know any other Spotify connect audio streamers which are easier to setup with home assistant, a link would be great.
Thanks
