Why isn’t there a group.all_persons like i.e. group.all_plants?
There IS a group.all_devices. But this will not be the same as person handles multiple tracker differently.
Can someone help me figure out if this feature makes sense?

The auto-created groups like that are planned for deprecation. Using automatically managed groups means that you’re likely to end up in the situation where things no longer work as expected, without warning.
