When I create a group to tie together all of my lights and switches in order to make automations easier it hides the individual entities. I have a dashboard that I let auto generate, but when I create a group of my lights they no longer display on that dashboard. Why is it doing this and is there a way to prevent it?
Did you create the group via the UI and if so do you have āHide Membersā selected under Group Options?

Wow Iām really stupid lol. I thought that switch meant to hide them from the drop down list above as to not repeat any devices in the group.

Hi, I have tried this, I created a group of lights in my office, I selected the Hide Group Entities, then in Developer Tools, States, I searched lights.office, they still show in my search and that they are āonā thus causing my lights on count to not be correct. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
