GSW: Smart Ventilation Suite
Advanced ventilation control using Absolute Humidity (g/m³) and Dew Point logic.
Created by Iakovos Venieris (Greece Sky and Weather).
Why Absolute Humidity?
Most ventilation automations rely on Relative Humidity (%), which can be misleading because it changes with temperature. This suite uses Absolute Humidity to ensure the fan runs only when the outdoor air is actually drier than the indoor air, preventing you from accidentally bringing more moisture inside.
Features: Advanced Humidity Ventilation (Bathroom)
- Smart Humidity Logic: Compares indoor vs. outdoor absolute humidity.
- Dew Point Protection: Detects and prevents condensation risks.
- Adaptive Runtime: Automatically adjusts (15, 30, or 60 mins) based on humidity severity.
- Alarm Integration: Option to disable automation when the security system is armed.
Requirements
This blueprint requires the Thermal Comfort Integration (available via HACS) to provide:
- Absolute Humidity (g/m³)
- Dew Point (°C)

Safety Recommendation
It is highly recommended to create a “fail-safe” automation that turns off the fan if it remains on for more than 2 hours, protecting against sensor or communication failures.
