In the config folder you will find the HA logs. You may be able to get an idea of what is happening.

Did you by chance upgrade to 2022.7? There are a few ssl problems as a result. You can restore a snapshot from the command line.

I just re-read your post. So if I am reading correctly, you must be accessing the Hassio command line through a physical monitor and keyboard connected directly to your Pi. If you have access to the Hassio command line, you have everything you need. hassio snapshots will list all of your snapshots.
