HA 2024.10.0 upgrade to 2024.10.2 fails

Trying to upgrade HA Core 2024.10.0 to 2024.10.2. Looks kije he is upgrading, then a reboot but no upgrade. Still 2024.10.0 and still upgrade to 2024.10.2 available. Rebooted RPI4 several times. Even removed power and restarted RPI4.
Other upgrades (Like WebRTC) worked perfect. Only upgrade to 2024.10.2 fails.
I do not see any error.

Please help

I am having a similar issue. I am upgrading from 2024.10.1 and the host just stops. When I restart the updated has not happened. I have tried the update from the web interface and the CLI with the same effect.

Have the same problem

How do you perform update?
I have automatic updates and this is working fine. I using watchtower.

I got a message in HA that there is a new update. Then I click the message and install the new version.

It looks like it is updating but after automatic reboot the version is the old version (2024.10.0).

Just tested, The LGE update is insalling perfect, the OS update is not.

I was able to get the install to complete, but got dumped into recovery mode with this error:

“home assistant “found incompatible http option ‘server_host’. watchdog feature disabled”

I found many possible solutions on the forum related to the error message, but none of the solution scenarios fit (e.g. “remove this piece of config”, but I don’t have it.)

Fortunately, I was able to load the full backup I made just before initiating the upgrade and was fully restored.

That’s why I skipt 2024.10.1. After instèlling 2024.10.1 my Raspberry is falling in a reboot loop.

Hello,

i have the same problem but from 2024.8.3.

On the supervisor log I can see :

Upgraded OS to13,2
Then tried to upgrade to Core 2024.10.2 but still fails:

  • Core2024.10.0
  • Supervisor2024.10.2
  • Operating System13.2
  • Frontend20241002.2

Just tried to upgrade to 2024.10.3. Also failed, sameway as 2024.10.2 did.
Is this problem know by HA developers. Seems more people having this problem.

Same for me. Still impossible to upgrade

Worked for me this time. I was still running Core 2024.10.1, but since my Core upgrade failure to 2024.10.2, in the meantime I had upgraded the OS to 13.2. I just upgraded to Core 2024.10.3 and it worked just fine. FWIW, I’m running a four year old X86-64 install.

Just tryed to upgrade from 2024.10.0 tot 2024.10.4. Fails again. After update system reboots and shows version 2024.10 0 still active. So no update has been done.
