I installed the Home Assistant plugin (from Christoph Giesche) and a long-term token (Windows 11 with Stream Deck XL - everything is up to date). I was able to assign functions to buttons and everything worked – for one day.
Unfortunately, this only worked for about a day.
Today I assigned battery values to Stream Deck buttons and when I pressed the fourth button—BAM!—URL disappeared. SEE PICTURE 1
Only the blue Home Assistant icon was displayed.
Previously created buttons/displays were still working at that moment.
THEN—Windows restart—Stream Deck only showed only blue Home Assistant icon and button text of Stream Deck.
Operation and displays were no longer possible. Is the long-term token to blame?
After selecting a button, entering the URL and token, and saving and reconnecting, no error message appears. However, nothing happens.
Reselecting the button >> the URL and token fields are empty again. “The system isn’t remembering entries.”
Creating a new button:
I can select and configure entities – e.g., as “light” and “toggle” – but only the standard Home Assistant icon appears on the button, without any function.
After selecting a different button and then clicking the one I just configured, it’s empty again.
Created a new token
Even with this token, it’s currently not possible to configure a button. No error message appears in the Stream Deck software or the Home Assistant plugin.
Windows restart >> no change.
Do I need to uninstall and reinstall the plugin? Is the problem with Home Assistant or the plugin?
Something’s not right here. I’M DESPERATE.
It would be sooo nice if functional.
Please help me if you can. Many thanks!
