Can I ask how do you guys use HA App with HMS devices. I have mine running but some dashboards don’t show, some pops up but with incomplete tabs.

probably the device is using an incompatible version of android system webview, it needs to be googles version and not any other.

Hi! Thanks for the info. Yes, I thought this might be my problem. Tried installing android system webview through apkpure, installed ok but i can’t configure the phone to use it. It uses Huawei Webview, can’t change even through the developer options.

Also tried to install chrome and access HA through the browser, still the same. Is there any other way? I have never rooted a phone but is there a solution that way? Not really an advanced user but i can follow instructions well. Hopefully though HA can eventually work with Huawei phones since they have a big presence here, other brands are either too expensive and over spec-ed or cheap but runs really really slow.

thats a pretty severe issue, it should work in chrome on the same phone…something is not right there.

if it cant work in a browser then you shouldnt expect the app to work…the fact that it doesnt work in a browser leads me to believe its a device or ROM issue.

The app does indeed work on Hauwei devices but you are having a different issue.

If you want to install a version of the app that does not have google services, stick to the minimal version found on github.

My huawei device does not have google play services, installed the apps through sideloading.

Would it help if there’s a way to contribute a donation towards a tablet? The tablets are about 100usd. I know some use amazons fire tablet but unfortunately it’s unavailable here. Also, the Huawei one is a bit better in terms of hardware specifications.

I can’t really contribute to coding but this is the only other way I know how to help, aside from being subscribed to Nabu Casa.
