Unable to receive push notification or see a new service added in HA for iphone 13 pro. I deleted the app, reinstalled, logged out logged in meanwhile restarting HA every time before and after. But I do not see the notify service for the iphone at all. The app shows push id - “not registered remote notifications.”
I tried RESET - but that throws an error too - “The operation couldn’t be completed. Failed to checkin before token registration.”
I have all permissions enabled in the app. Any ideas?
I tried the troubleshooting mentioned here as well. Still no go. Troubleshooting | Home Assistant Companion Docs
The notify works on all earlier added devices. It is just not working for the new device.
I initially had some success with interna URL to send push notifications, but on external URL, it didn’t work.
What I did - removed the app integration, restarted HA, logged out of the app on phone, deleted the app, restarted the phone. Reinstalled, logged in and finally restarted HA. The notify appeared in the services list, but it only worked if the Internal URL is being used.
After a few more HA restarts, it started working.
I was running in the same issue now and found this thread. I get it to work quite simple. I just had to remove the mobile app integration for the phone and disable wifi. Then I just have to start the app and the phone got a connection over mobile data and was registering the mobile app again. In the same step it also generates a push id and notification directly working.
When I was trying to get this done with wifi enabled, it was not working. It doesnt generate a push id.
