It says Manual Update “not enabled” and below “Error updating”.
In the Apple Watch App, I choose the “Modular” Watchface. But there is no “Home Assistant” in selecting a complication.
I have an iPhone 15pro and a Apple Watch 7. All OS/Apps are up to date.
Has anyone ever had this problem and been able to solve it?
Gents, you’d need to ensure the complication you defined is also configured in an active watch face. Without, you’ll never see anything to be updated. See further instructions on how to setup watch faces here:
Not sure if related (since video is 2y old now), but in the video at 4:04, it is mentioned that certain complication templates are deprecated: https://youtu.be/7t22v6Wh6HM?feature=shared
The above video is out of date, it doesn’t show the same menu options.
It appears the missing detail is you have to choose the right complications that are supported by the face you’re using.
Below the complications in the companion app it tells you which watch face the complication works with. I have managed to get it going by choosing the correct complication and setting the watch face but unfortunately the watch face I use isn’t listed so I had to play around to find the face’s supported complications. There must be a list of complications types each face supports, but I didn’t find it with a quick search.
I also haven’t managed to get it to run a specific script (toggle my garage door state) on a single press, it just pops up a list of scripts which is mildly annoying.
