HA as VM - Z-Wave/ZigBee networked interface/HUB

I have a Proxmox/KVM VM server where I would like to hos HA as a VM. I would like to have Z-Wave/ZigBee interfaces connected to the HA VM by IP-network.

The Samsung SmartThings Hub is listed as a HA supported Z-Wave Hub and supports both Z-Wave and ZigBee. Would that work for both Z-Wave and ZigBee? Unfortunately it doesn’t have Ethernet as I would prefer a wired connection between the radios and the VM. In addition it seems it requires a cloud connection to work.

My preferred solution is a radio unit that fully supports HA with Z-Wave and ZigBee, and has a wired local Ethernet connection to the VM. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Thank You.

My only solution for this exact use case is using a raspberry pi with zigbee stick and zwave dongle. For softwaqre i would use zigbee2mqtt for zigbee and zwavejs2mqtt, but im not sure about the latter part because i have no zwave (yet).
Personally I use supervised install on ubuntu, so I can directly use my conbee2 with zha and that one feels way more responsive than my old cc2531 stick, no matter if i used zigbee2mqtt or zha. also since i changed, my network got way more reliable (if i didnt had outtages with the serial port beeing closed/dissapearing, i wouldve still used that stick because my network aint big).
But cant you forward a serial port in proxmox to the guest?

You could use a Hubitat hub for its radios and keep all automation, UI etc… in HA.
