Backup failed because NAS did not respond soon enough, it auto wakes but needs time. HA backup needs an option for delay also WOL would be nice, if device can’t wake itself.

Ha has wol support. Start the nas enough time before the 4.45 am start.
Disable auto backup and create your own automation that does exactly what you describe

As rrooggiieerr said, do it like you did before…
There have been a lot of questions on how to do a backup if you want to run it manually, not using the awesome automatic tools.
This is a bunch of ways to back-up your system and not use the new 2025.1 introduced automatic stuff.
Choices are good to have. Make sure you are making the right choice.
