HA Bosch motion detectors stay in status motion for 4 minutes

Hi there,
just wondering that the Bosch Motion Sensors keep the motion status for around 4 Minutes.
I wanted to set up an automation:

  • Turn on lights
  • after 60 Seconds turn of lifgts again

While testing the lights don’t turn off after 60 seconds. Turning of the light manually and go into the montion detection area, does not turn on the lights for at least 4 Minutes. Lights will turned off automatically after 5 Minutes

Is this a normal behavior of the motion detectors, is this configurable? Any ideas?

It is normal for battery powered motion sensors. To maximise battery life they detect motion instantly but do not reset for a relatively long time so that they are not constantly transmitting when there is a lot of movement.

Is your Bosch motion sensor battery powered?

Yes it is. Any idea if I could force a reset of the status or set the time until next transmit?

No, I know nothing about these devices and you have not given us a model, just a brand. Try searching for you particular model number and the word “settings”.
