HA CLI login after power cycle

Hi all,

I had a fairly curious thing happen today. I am running HAOS 11.4 (core 2024.1.3, supervisor 2023.12.1) as a Virtual Machine using Virtualbox under Linux Mint. The host machine power cycled accidentally, so the whole thing was shut down rather abruptly. After restarting the Linux host, and restarting the VM (not using a saved snapshot but the ‘current state’), I got a window with the HA command line interface as usual, but instead of the ha prompt, I got a screen that wanted me to login, displaying <name of my HA instance> login: . When typing my HA user name and password, it would claim these are not the right credentials. Starting and stopping the VM from virtualbox would give the same.

Nevertheless, I could reach the HA frontend in a browser and restart the ‘host’ (VM) from there. After this, I got the usual CLI interface again.

So TL;DR: there’s no real problem, but I am curious what login I should have used in this case and why it appeared like this. There wasn’t really anything related in the core, host or supervisor logs AFAICT.
