HA Companion for Android does not work

installed HA companion app from PlayStore on a Samsung A10 running Android 10.
The app starts but either hangs or crashes , that is not clear.
The HA instance is HA core 0.118.3 on a RPI4/8GB

Removing and re-installing app on the phone does not help. But with an earlier instance it worked.
What can I do?

I have been able solve the issue by clearing all cached data on the Android Phone.
