Hey,

I am currently looking for a smart multi plug that I can control via HomeAssistant. Now looking into the devices I only found plugs that are compatible with alexa and or google home. Now my question is will these plugs be compatible with HomeAssistant. Link to plug: Amazon.de

I believe there are Home Assistant integrations for Alexa HomeKit & Google Home. Since these are cloud services you likely would need to use the Nabu Casa cloud service for Home Assistant.

Many users prefer to avoid Internet dependent cloud services and control everything locally.

Alexa and HA have zigbee in common. So get a zigbee stick for your HA setup then both HA and Alexa can control any zigbee things (switches, lights, sensors, remotes) that you buy.
