I have read that any Zigbee device connected to the outlet extends the signal range.
Will the Xiaomi Gateway 3 extend the ZigBee range of the ZBT-1 hub?
No. Most (not all, a manufacturer can opt out, sengled did for bulbs) line powered devices that participate in a Zigbee network route for other devices. Not all.
Technicality matters…
If im not mistaken that device is a coordinator. You can only have one coordinator per zigbee network therefore it can’t join and participate in the ZBT1’s network therefore it cannot route for that network.
