HA crashes when Update is found

Hi,

I have installed HomeAssistant OS on a raspberry pi 4 and everything is running fine. But each time when an update is found (for HA Core or HA itself) my system crashes. Nothing is responding and I need to manually restart the system (unplugging power supply).
I’ve tried to check the logs but I can’t see any information that could explain this behavior. It also looks like the system crashes before anything is logged.
After the restart everything is running fine until the next update is found.

Does anybody had ever something similar or have an idea how to track back where this is coming from?

Thanks!

Edit: Changed from RaspberryPi 3B to 4

How old/big is your setup? Does it run from SD card? Anything else you can tell us about your system?

Had HA running for nearly a year on a Pi3 (also without the +), updates (and their detection/notification) were never an issue.

Sorry, it is a raspberry pi 4, not 3.
It is running on a sd card for around 3 months.
The issue was there since the first installation.
I’m also updating my instance to the newest versions. Currently running versions:

Home Assistant 2023.1.2
Supervisor 2022.12.1
Operating System 9.4
Frontend 20230104.0 - latest

I’m also using a SONOFF USB stick to use zigbee devices.

Running integrations/add-ons:

  • localtuya
  • TP-Link Kasa Smart
  • Fritz Box
  • Bose Soundtouch
  • LG Oled
  • Homematic IP Cloud
  • Mosquitto broker MQTT
  • HACS
  • Terminal
  • File editor
  • Zigbee2MQTT

Hi, I am have the same issues since many months or rather years. Everytime i try to upgrade the system freezes, and i need to make multiple tries before i get the update to be correctly installed.

@m4sm0 : have you managed to resolve your issue? If yes what was the fix that you applied?
