Replacing any built in chip is definitely possible but far from easy. You’ll need dedicated de/soldering hardware and an extremely high level of skill to perform the transplant successfully.
I severely doubt any future iterations will have a replaceable chip. Components for all electronics are increasingly becoming smaller and soldered directly to the board to increase efficiency, weight and space. Basically, you’re already saving the planet by lowering shipping weight/size and by having a more efficient board. If they had to add connectors for replaceable parts all of that would be lost.
