HA Green ZHA to Zigbee2MQTT how to in 2026

Hi

Still very new to HA with HA Green. Getting frustrated that Zigbee devices have “unkown” for FW updates and I have tried all I could find to add ZHA OTA to my config file all has not worked.

In 2026 if it is possible. What does it take to get Home Assistant GREEN ZHA to Zigbee2MQTT??

I do have SkyConnect device that’s connected for Zigbee.
What’s migration process?
What hardware is needed?

Is it advised with the HA Green?

Thx

If the update states unknown, it just means HA doesn’t have a listing that says an update version is available.
This might help.

If you think Z2M would help, you can add the Z2M firmware updates list to ZHA and they would update.

What exact problem are you trying to solve? Not all zigbee devices will get firmware updates, even in Z2M. Even if they did, if the device is working fine I don’t suggest you update its firmware.

I can tell you from first hand experience that a zigbee firmware update will either not lead to any tangible difference (unless it explicitly states it fixes an issue you’re experiencing), or else it’ll make the device perform worse. Looking at you, FP300.

Hello. You could have a valid point. When I first got HA Green I did see FW updates and stated “up to date”

After a few HA OS/Core updates it says unknown. I have mostly Aqara devices and the new FP300 thankfully someone made a quirk to work with ZHA. I was not seeing the FW updates not only for it but nothing else anymore.

Correct it all works may have to live with it. If it never updated I would be cool yet it did at a time before something broke it.
