Hello, I’m new to Home Assistant and I’m running into an issue during the initial setup.

I’m also not entirely sure which section of the forum is the right place for my question. Is there a dedicated area for German-speaking users?

Regarding my actual problem: I created the virtual machine step by step and followed the installation instructions carefully. Everything seems to complete correctly, but the virtual machine does not start.

I’ve attached some images that show the issue. Any help or suggestions on what I might be missing would be greatly appreciated.

This guide? And for virtualbox or another virtualization software?

Check the .vdi file if it has the read only flag (right click - properties on the file).
