HA is constantly crashing and restarting and i'm out of ideas. Can anyone help?

Hi, I’ve had HAOS running prefectly for past 18 months on a RasberryPi. At the weekend I updated to latest OS and switched from ZHA to ZigBee2MQTT. All was fine for a day and now the system is constantly crashing and re-starting, over and over. I’m struggling to even download logs as it crashes each time i try… Any ideas on what I should try next? Thanks a lot.

Thanks, working my way through the list!

You also did not tell us what version Pi and how much ram or what storage it has?

Sorry about that:

I don’t know any Pi3 that shipped with 64g.so I assume that’s storage? How much RAM does it have?

Pi3 is the ABSOLUTE bare minimum for current system requirements and honestly 1GB of RAM (default max configuration for a pi3 if memory serves) is barely adequate if you have any complexity to your install whatsoever. In addition to the steps on the troubleshooting list I’d add - did I just run out of RAM and crash the box) to your most likely list.

Thanks Nathan - It’s a Pi3 model B with 1GB RAM, so that could be the problem! Time to upgrade i think as I have quite a large config…

Update to confirm resolution. I just migrated everything to a new Pi5 with 8GB Ram. Massive improvement in performance and all working fine now. Thanks @MaxK and @NathanCu
