HA is running on my RPi3B+ but no GUI over other computers

Just flashed an sd card with hassos_rpi3-5.10.img.xz using balenaetcher. Inserted the card into my Rpi, connected my RPi to a monitor and ethernet and watched it bootup HA. Saw it update over the internet and got to the following prompt:

Welcome to Home Assistant
homeassistant login:

Found the RPi’s IP address on my router’s webpage and can ping it just fine.

Tried every suggestion on the Home Assistant Website regarding accessing the Home Assistant GUI using my Windows computer (see the list below) and always get the same response: “This site can’t be reached 192.168.1.104 refused to connect.”

http://homeassistant.local:8123
http://homeassistant:8123
http://192.168.1.104:8123

I have rebooted the RPi several times and turned it off to ensure that I had the correct IP address (pinged, then wouldn’t ping, then pinged again).

I have no experience with RPi.

Please help a noob!

Thanks.

With what you’ve described, That should technically be working. Does your system have a firewall active or anything else between you and the RPi that could potentially be blocking communication over port 8123?

I have not implemented any firewall feature on my router (Linksys EA 7300). I am using Windows 10 computers to try and login. I can login to other devices on my network such as an Accurite weather sensor hub and use their GUI.

I turned off all the security settings on my router and still no joy.

Just on a whim, Can you reboot your router and then see if the connection works?

Sorry I did not mention that I rebooted the router more than once and then reset the router with the physical reset button. No change in outcome.

I watched the RPi go through the boot up again using a monitor and saw this one “Failed” notice:

[Failed] Failed to mount HassOS data partition
See ‘systemctl status mnt-data.mount’ for details.

It still continues the boot up and gives me the prompt:

Welcome to Home Assistant
homeassistant login:

I should mention I am using a 128 GB micro SD card in the RPi.

Hmm, From reading around it seems that quite a few times users advise that their SD Card is corrupted when they see an error along these lines. Have you tried re-imaging your SD Card yet to see if you get any different results (On-Screen and over network)?

I watched the RPi go through the boot up using a monitor and saw this one “Failed” notice:

[Failed] Failed to mount HassOS data partition
See ‘systemctl status mnt-data.mount’ for details.

Flashed another sd card and now I can access the GUI. Thanks for your help.
