I have a HP thin client set up for HA. I use the website to configure my settings (don’t have a monitor).
I was experimenting with some automations and how to use the context triggers, so I made an automation to log every context_id.
After saving and loading the script, I lost connection and tried rebooting and restarting. After a couple tries, it will restart and reconnect, but before I can do anything, the connection is lost again.
I also tried booting in safe mode, which didn’t work, now the website is unreachable.
Did I mess up completely?
Can you ssh to it ?
Or have you set up the SAMBA Share add-on?
You need to get to your config/automations.yaml
file and comment out the new automation. It sounds like it is using up all your RAM.
Yes!! I also added the SAMBA add-on, but didn’t think that was the issue, since it happened after I ran the automation.
How can I access config/automations.yaml
when I can’t load the HA web interface? I don’t have a monitor/keyboard to control it on my thinclient…
It depends what happens when home assistant crashes. If the SAMBA share addon is still running then you should be able to connect to your config directory share from a pc. Then edit your automation file to remove the last automation you made.
No, I forgot my password
I wasn’t finished setting up SAMBA. I only have the device in my network directory, but when I double click, it redirects me to the ip address for HA (which also doesn’t load).
There are no files I can get to…
