I’m facing a problem with my HomeAssistant setup that I can not solve.
Home Assistant hardware setup:
Running on a Raspberry Pi 4, 4GB
HA Core2024.12.4 / Supervisor2024.12.0 / Operating System14.0 / Frontend20241127.8
IKEA Tradfri hub, software version 1.21.31
AEON Labs, Z‐Stick Gen5 USB Controller
RFXCOM, RFXtrx433E, USB 433.92MHz Transceiver
44 IKEA devices. (39 lamps and outlets, 2 signal repeaters, 3 speakers)
I use HA for switching my IKEA lights. Every other day my lamps and switches become unavailable / unresponsive in Home Assistant. I can still access them with the IKEA Home smart 1 app. There are no errors in the HA logs.
Solution to get the IKEA devices active again is rebooting Home Assistant. Don’t think this is a sustainable solution as other family members don’t know how to to this.
I’ve searched the forum but haven’t found a solution for the problem.
Has somebody seen this before and found a solution for it?
I’ve done a complete new install of Home Assistant. Only added the IKEA Trådfri integration (IKEA TRÅDFRI - Home Assistant)
After a couple of days all IKEA devices become unresponsible.
Restarting Home Assistant brings them back to live.
Maybe I’ve found the problem: to many devices with a hub that’s too old to handle them.
I replaced the Trådfri hub with a Dirigera hub and haven’t had any problems since.

Hi. I have the same problem. I understand that changing the hub might work. Unfortunately I find the Dirigeria system not handling the motion as well as the Trader hub.
Anyhow I got the problem after I upgraded to Home Assistant core 2024.12. Before I had no troubles and this for ages. The latest upgrade to 2015.2 does also not solve the problem. Any alternative solution?
