HA on Sinology NAS need a USB into HA

Hi

Got my HA on a sinology 918+ NAS. running perfectly.
But need access to Z-wave device… All I can finde is a Z-wave USB stick .
How do I get this connected to the NAS and into HA ??? I know there is a USB port but can I just plug it in there and find it in HA ???

I used to have that setup and, assuming you are running home assistant in a VM, you have to map the USB stick to the VM in the Synology VM manager, reboot home assistant, and then you should see it.

Mapping the USB device in VM Manager should work. I have the problem however that almost every time I reboot HA or do an upgrade, it loses the USB devices and the only way to get them back is to reboot my NAS
