Ha only starts in command line, with no gui

I finally got ha installed in a thin client and it loads but has no gui. not sure what to do next, all I have is a black and white homeassistant page.

Does it show an ipv4 address? Yes? Then everything is working correctly.
Home Assistant is a web server. You get the GUI by entering http://ipaddress:8123 or http://homeassistant.local:8123 on any browser on your network.
(In the image below, mine is renamed to home from homeassistant).

haos

thanks stevemann! i have never made anything like this so i really did not know what to expect . thanks again.

Can you provide a link to the instructions you used?
Feel free to ask questions. We don’t bite. Much.

Well, our bite is much worse than our bark.
Good thing this is the internet, so you only have to deal with the barking.

sorry i took so long to respond to this, in new teritory i tend to walk carefully. so this is the route i went: a thin client(cheap but good power) but the company did not make it easy in the bios.
then I went with #1 for the easy way, I like linux but I have never been a coder or programer. But I also have to say that these ha guys made a great partition layout. I am jazzed about the whole project really.

On your thin client you won’t get a GUI. HA is a headless system. You need a browser on another device to access the GUI.

Dell Wyse thin client maybe?

it is, i had good luck with the first one( dedicated to the dum tv, works great) printed a custom wall hanger and it hangs inback of the tv. going to make the same rig for ha.

On the Dell Wyse thin clients, the BIOS password is Fireport
