If you don’t have a second stick for Thread, yes.

It might switch back again, so the recommended way is to use path by is instead.

How does one do that ?

Settings → hardware → All hardware → find your USB device.
You should then see a /dev/serial/by-id/…

Use that. It will stay fixed even if the device switch port.

I did that as well. It is of no use, I think, because there is no Thread anymore after removing multiprotocol.

For me updating to the 16.2 dev build allowed my existing setup to keep working without other changes: ha os update --version 16.2.dev20250814

Didn’t work for me. I had to return to the 15.2 ha os in order to reconnect with the zigbee devices on my yellow.
