HA OS lost Wifi connection randomly

Hi All,

I can’t get my finger on. But random my HAOS running on a RPi 4 8GB probably lost his WiFi connection and not reconnect. That’s what I think now.

In logs i see errors that HA can’t check things on the net (Github, etc)
In my log of Cloudflare Zero I see on same moment errors that the device is not reachable

I can’t connect HAOS over SSH as well. Only thing that work is pull out the power, put it back in and restart the whole system.

The rest of devices connected to same Wifi SSID are working normal when this is happen.
Because its random i think its a but difficult to find out what this can be.

I was trying to find the logs of the system itself but only what I can see is

/var/log/journal/6e47253dfc444317b9a7281d891e25f6

All kind of files starting with

system@.....< SNAP>.journal

zsh: command not found: journalctl

Can someone assist me to find out what this problem can be, and if this is a connection error?

Hi all,

Nobody have same issue? On internet i read that when you connect SSD on a USB3 port it will interfering with Wifi. But its running for weeks without issues and then suddenly almost every day its lost the wifi.

I see a big drop down of speed and then it disconnect and reconnect every minute.

Hard restart of the OS itself will solve this. HA restart wont work for this issue.

Off-topic: Wifi speed is slow on RPi4 between 27-40 Mbit/s connected to a 5GhZ wifi connection.
Asus GTAX11000 router is ok. All other devices connected to 5GhZ gives me over 500-600 Mbit/s

Hi
I have a similar situation. Losing connection to wifi time to time. Also 5GhZ. Speed drops and after a while not accessible anymore. all other devices are ok.
Driving me nuts sometimes.
Did not had the time to investigate why this happens but it started like 2 months ago.

I found out that when I separated my SSD from the RPi and put a long cable between them the whole issue was gone…

For couple of weeks I have a Dell 3050 now and that was best move ever.

And I have disconnected the LCD screen attached to it, running Kiosk mode.
The issue also disappeared.
Weird.

Just to say I had regurlarly same issue. I gived up investigating by using an automation to reboot HA if ping of my router failed
