HA - Playing Spotify on Heos (denon amp)

Hi,

I struggle to make it work… maybe You can help me with this.
I run HA on RPI os. Latest version. I have properly configured Spotify integration - works fine… Also added Heos (denon amp) - works fine too.

But when I select a song from HA lovelace miniplayer i got an error Can’t find active media player…
How, if it’s possible, select that heos amp as a default media player and by pressing play button on SPotify media player lovelace start streaming music to Denon ?

Thanks and regards,
mike

I also have this. But only, when the Denon amp is OFF. When it is ON, does not matter on which input, it starts to play.

So it is, that the Spotify integration is not able to Power ON the amp. That is our problem.

Nope… on my configuration it doesn’t matter whether the denon is on or off… still the same problem :frowning:

Mabye i need a spotify configuration on my denon as well ?

not on denon.

But in HA you need two integrations. HEOS and Denon AVR

Oh, and wel, make sure, you have updated firmware on the Denon. My did strange things with the original firmware, with update works well.

have already

but still

Anyone any ideas on that? I’m struggling with the same thing. It used to work in 2021 perfectly fine…

I also struggle to start Spotify on my Denon AVR-X3200W from home assistant.
This AVR support Spotify connect, but not HEOS.

On my media player card in HA with Spotify selected as the media player I can only see the Denon AVR-X3200W as a Source after I first start to play music on it from the native Spotify app from my computer of from my phone.

So in HA it looks like this when music is not playing on my AVR (Does not matter if the AVR is on og off)

After connect to the AVR from the Spotify App the media player in HA looks like this:

But it’s not possible for me to initiate this from HA when my AVR is not already playing music from Spotify, so I’m not able to start playing music with automations like I want to.
