HA slow to update Life360s presence detection

Hello everyone

I have an issue with my presence detection, hope someone can help.
Im using life360 and have been for years, even before i started my smarthome journey and have always been satisfied with it.
The issue is that when i arrive at home im already inside the house before HA gets my status.
The app is always really accurate, when my wife and i drive together we always both get an notification almost at the same time and place about 200 meters from our house.
but somehow HA just doesnt get the info. Am i missing some configuration or something ?

Have you configured the integration using the UI? If you are using the yaml configuration, you can adjust “interval_seconds”. It might help to reduce the delay in update. Check out the integration page

Yeah, i’ve tried to set it to 5 seconds, but the default should be 12 seconds, and its a 1-5minutes delay im experiencing so it shouldnt matter right?

Are you on ios?
I’m using life360 on my android and it’s pretty fast updating its locations.
However, my son’s iPhone updates whenever it wants.

Yes IOS, quite annoying, i assume you didnt find a solution for it

Polling is never as fast as push.
I have not downloaded the HA app to my work iPhone, but our android phones are rather quick to update
