HA suddenly not working

Hi there,

I’ve been running home assistant on a Pi 4 at work for about two weeks now. The goal is to monitor operating times on our machines, so as a test i’ve been using a shelly smart plug, which had been working flawlessly.

One morning when I came to check on HA, I couldn’t connect to it (almost seemed as if the RasPi was unplugged), so I decided to take the SD out, format it, and re-install HA (a little drastic I know).

Problem was, when I booted HA back up, nothing seemed to work. I couldn’t connect to the wifi network (different error messages here) :

I also can’t add a shelly integration, I just get a “failure to connect” message (although, this could be caused by the fact that I’m now wired and not using wi-fi, so it might have trouble detecting the plug).

My aqara vibration sensor also is seemingly marked as “unknown” on the zha dashboard.

And even grafana doesn’t want to connect to influxdb :

Essentially, nothing seems to be working, and I have no idea why.

I even tried using an older version of HA from earlier this year, and everything is still the same.

Could the problem be due to a faulty sd card ? Or is it something else ?
Any help is appreciated

HA is not designed to run on wifi, you may be able to configure wifi before installing, but I have no idea how to do that. You will need to connect the pi with a lan cable to install HA.

I’m using a lan cable for now, but everything is still broken unfortunately. I’m wondering if it’s not the fault of the sd card… Even though i’ve only been using it for a couple weeks.

All SD cards go bad. Some sooner than others. they are not designed for repealed writes and database use that Hoe Assistant puts the thru.
