HA uses my native language even though I have set all settings to English

Why Home Assistant uses my native language even if I don’t want it to? I have changed all language settings to English in:

  • Profile - Language
  • Settings - System - General - Language

Even though, example my device infos shows like this (there’s Finnish):

and after my Entity IDs is Finnish like “update.livingroom_floor_lamp_laiteohjelmisto” the “laiteohjelmisto” should be “firmware”

When I first installed HA I used my native language settings (Finnish), but I pretty soon changed those to English.
Now I have only country set to Finland, but it’s really weird if that would effect myself language settings?

Is there any way to fix this os should I just re-install HA without touching those language settings?

Hi,
Maybe clear browser cache and recreate the dashboard entities card from scratch.

I have cleared the browser cache and I don’t think that the language problem is in the dashboard Entities Card.

But the HA restart solved the problem. So when you Language from the settings that needs system restart

Aargh, now those native texts are back. I have no idea what is happening???

Hello,

if you don’t change it the entities card will show the name of the entity.
If you go to Settings > Device and Services > Entities tab
Find the entity click on it and find on gear on top right you have a name field, did you change that?

I have the same setup local settings and country is another language but my system language is English.

I don’t know what was exactly wrong: Maybe I should have check all those entities, maybe. Now it’s too late.

It was really weird because in ZHA all the Identify, Firmware and Battery, etc. were showing in my native language and I think it got something to do my language setting when I had paired those devices or when I had installed the SkyConnect. I don’t know???

This time when I’m so new in this I decided to re-install the HA in my HA Green and leave all language settings to English. No everything is ok.
