HA wired network does not see my devices on my Wi-Fi network

Installed HA on raspberry pi on my home router using wired connection. Most of my devices are WiFi and connected to my Google WiFi and HA does not see any of those connected devices. How can HA see both my wired and Wi-Fi devices ?

How are your wired and wireless network connected?

I believe the Google WiFi is connected to the Verizon router with a cat 5 cable. I would have to go and look at the connections downstairs in the basement to be absolutely sure.

I am not really new to networking but it’s been awhile since I have done any configuration or looked at the actual connections at my router which only has one port.

You may have to plug in your Pi to the port on Google WiFi.

Router → Google WiFi → RPi

I have wired devices on my wired network and I have devices on my Google WiFi , I want to see all of my devices on HA. I will have to wire the router to my distribution board (Leviton) and probably plug in and access my current wired devices and plug in my Google WiFi router there as well to see if HA can find the devices that are WiFi and running (connected) to the Google WiFi router as well. Don’t want either/or , I want both, the ability to access and control all the devices , both wired and wireless with HA. I may have to re-wire everything.

Thank you will re-post when I have the time to re-wire and try again.

Google WIFI has a DNS server enabled by default. Your router probably does too. Therefore, depending on how you have configured/connected your wired and wireless devices, you may have two subnets (wired & wireless); therefore, devices on one network will not see devices on the other.
